There's Always Something Wonderful Here at Saint James Place!

THE PEOPLE’S PANTRY

Saint James Place respects the important work of The People’s Pantry. We are honored to house this Great Barrington food security non-profit organization.

In 1999 the People’s Pantry began in the garage of Saint James Church. In 2010 the Pantry opened in its new permanent home at Saint James Place. When renovating the building, providing a home for the People’s Pantry was a top priority. Saint James Place values the contributions the People’s Pantry makes to our community.

The mission of The People’s Pantry is to reduce hunger in the Southern Berkshires by distributing food in a manner that preserves the dignity and sense of self-worth of each shopper. The People’s Pantry is open to all residents of South Berkshire County. There are no income guidelines and shoppers are welcome to visit once a week all year. For People’s Pantry hours and more, visit their website.
