There's Always Something Wonderful Here at Saint James Place!

Interview with…Clarion Concerts

Eugenia Zukerman and Dave Hall of Clarion Concerts sat down with Sally Harris, President of Saint James Place Cultural Center, to speak about their Baroque chamber music organization, celebrating its 65th year. This interview is part of our “Interview With” Series.

Dave Hall, Clarion President, says that the concert series was founded by Newell Jenkins in 1957 in New York City. When he purchased his country home, he moved the series to the Berkshires.

Eugenia Zukerman, Clarion’s third and current artistic director, speaks about her experience as a musician performing on the Saint James Place stage. Under Eugenia leadership, the music organization began to commission new works, present exciting new artists and expand the breadth of styles and periods of music presented.

Their upcoming event “Baroque and Beyond with Anthony Newman & Friends” is on Saturday November 5th 2022, 3:00pm at Saint James Place in Great Barrington Massachusetts. Get your tickets here!
