Berkshire Lyric presents a holiday choral program, The Holly and the Ivy, on Sunday, December 10 at 3:00pm in the Sanctuary Space here at Saint James Place. Settle in for amazing acoustics!
The featured work will be the Vivaldi Magnificat accompanied by a chamber orchestra. Traditional and contemporary a cappella carols by Hassler, Bruckner, Lauridsen, and Ola Gjeilo will take advantage of our splendid acoustics. The chorus will be joined by Lyric’s young women’s ensemble Melodious Accord and by soloists Lily Lothrop, Madeline Caruso, Rich Geiler and John Demler.
The concert is under the direction of artistic director and conductor Jack Brown and assisted by Joe Rose at the piano.
Tickets are $30 and will be sold online, at the door or in advance through the Berkshire Lyric website or member singers. This popular concert has been sold out for the last few years, so purchase tickets early.
Due to the limited capacity of this event, children under 18 must have a ticket.
