Berkshire Lyric returns to Saint James Place for one of their three Christmas concerts on Sunday Dec 11 at 3:00 with Angels We Have Heard on High. The seventy voice chorus will perform a concert of Christmas music from several centuries.

This holiday concert also features Lyric’s select high school girls ensemble Melodious Accord. Both groups are directed by artistic director Jack Brown and assisted by pianist Joe Rose. Soloists are Lily Lothrop, Madeleine Redpath and John Demler.

The program of popular, traditional and contemporary carols includes music composed for the Christmas season by Anton Bruckner, Kenneth Leighton, Alice Parker, John Rutter, Bob Chilcott and a new work by Berkshire composer Anson Olds. Berkshire Lyric celebrates their 60th anniversary this season with a return to Seiji Ozawa Hall Tanglewood in June 2023 for a performance with full orchestra of the Brahms German Requiem.
