The acclaimed Aston Magna Music Festival presents a live interactive performance of Capriccio Stravagante by Carlo Farina on December 13 at 3pm in Saint James Place’s Great Hall. This piece, for four string players plus theorbo, is an early baroque comic pastiche of short sections (dance sections) with descriptions like Kettledrums, Pilfering (military band recorder), Cats, Spanish Guitar, etc. There will also be an instrument “petting zoo” for children.
