Some Old Black Man theater proiduction
A reading and discussion on the small stage at Saint James Place
Great Barrington Public Theater in conversation with Gene Ackerman

Located at 352 Main Street in the heart of Great Barrington, we offer outstanding rehearsal and performance spaces, collaborative theatrical promotion, and full venue support. Our goal is to make your production experience as seamless and impactful as possible.

Saint James Place is proud to host the Great Barrington Public Theater and its “Berkshire Voices” workshops, developing new plays and featuring public staged readings, and their “Conversations with…” series with leading theater-makers. We are also proud to have hosted diverse productions such as “Some Old Black Men” (Berkshire Playwrights Lab – pre-Off Broadway), “Rhinoceros” (staged reading, with Chris Noth), “The Tempest – A Musical” (world premiere – Ghostlit Repertory Theatre), and many others.

Enhanced Visibility

We supplement your marketing. When you book your concert at Saint James Place, you benefit from following:

Our 12-foot tall digital marquee at the front of our building displays your event in rotation with other events. This showcases your concert to the Great Barrington community—and all who drive south on Main Street/Route 7. We request artwork whenever possible so we can showcase your event at its best.

Your event will be listed on our Events page with a direct link to your website for ticket sales. We also encourage artwork submissions to ensure your concert looks its best.

We help you spread the word on social media by posting three to five times on our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, and Google. We also run one Facebook/Instagram ad valued at $40.

We send emails to our audience, which feature your event.
