Saint James Place offers exhibition space opportunities for emerging and established artists working in two-dimensional mediums including painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, and photography, as well as three-dimensional works in jewelry, textiles, ceramics and more.
Our goal is to enhance Great Barrington’s identity as a community that supports and promotes creative expression.
How is our venue used by artists and creators?
One of the highlights of the holiday season is the annual Delightful & Delectable Holiday Market presented by the Great Barrington Arts Market (GBAM). The holiday market features a curated collection of handmade gifts that spotlights the best of the Berkshires artists and artisans. GBAM also presents Winter Markets to warm hearts during the colder months.
The Aigner family mounted an acclaimed presentation of noted photographer Lucien Aigner’s photographs in our rooms and hallways. There is a permanent display at the Great Barrington Town Hall. Photos: Thanks to the Aigner Family.
The East Room, Great Hall and main promenade hallway can be utilized as an outstanding visual art gallery!
With over 2,000 square feet of exhibit space, Saint James Place is uniquely positioned to host a wide variety of art installations and exhibits.
