Saint James Place is a state-of-the-art performance venue housed in a fully-restored architecturally-significant building in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Built in 1857 of blue dolomite limestone from a local quarry, Saint James Place is now a center of cultural and civic happening, and part of the Great Barrington Cultural District. Accessibility
Comfortable and accessible seating in a prestigious setting. Our 3,400’ Sanctuary space can seat up to 250 people (14 handicap accessible seats) and 30 on the balcony. We offer wide aisles and easy-access to restrooms. Performances and lectures also happen in our Great Hall and East Room.
Acoustics
Outstanding acoustics with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems create an immersive experience for players and audience members. We’ve been called “The Carnegie Hall of the Berkshires.”
Convenience
