Summer 2022 marks the Stockbridge Sinfonia’s 50th anniversary season! The orchestra will perform a concert at Saint James Place on Sunday, August 14 at 6pm.

This summer’s repertoire includes a premiere by local composer Alice Spatz entitled City; a co-commission of O Colored Earth by Steven Heitzeg with Berkshire Children’s Chorus; Yom Kippur for brass ensemble and shofar by Sinfonia founder Joy Dronge; Antonin Dvorak In Nature’s Realm; and Beethoven Symphony No. 6 (“Pastorale”).

Stockbridge Sinfonia is a nonprofit organization with approximately 50 players, ranging in ages 14 through 94, and is conducted by Tracy Wilson. Financial awards are given to student players who meet certain requirements such as attending regular rehearsals and volunteering.
