The Best of Jewish Broadway: 1920 – 1980
This concert—The BEST of Jewish Broadway—honors those amazing Jewish composers who helped transform American musical theater through their beloved songs and shows, 1920 – 1980.
The audience will hear music from their favorite shows, from “Showboat” to “Follies,” “Camelot” to “West Side Story” and “Candide.” You’ll want you to sing along to these classic compositions by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerome Kern, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Bock and Harnick, Jerry Herman, Irving Berlin, William Finn, Marc Shaiman, the Gershwins, and so many more.
A special tribute to the universally beloved “Fiddler on the Roof ” will be a highlight of this show, performed by professional singers and musicians from New York City.
