Missa Gaia Concert

Jun 14, 4:00 pm6:00 pm

Missa Gaia: Celebrating Our World Through Song is a collaborative performance from Vocalis Youth Choir and sister organization, Chorus Angelicus, Connecticut’s acclaimed children’s choir.
Missa Gaia is a multi-movement work co-written by Paul Winter, Paul Halley, Jim Scott, and Oscar Castro-Neves, and Kim Oler.

“This collaboration is a dream realized: young voices and hearts raised in harmony for the Earth. May this music inspire us all to care, to cherish, and to sing always for a brighter and more just future.” – Gabriel Löfvall (Artistic Director, Chorus Angelicus)

“The soundscape created by this music is as striking as it is evocative. I hope our hearts are opened by the sounds of wolves, whales, voices, and instruments, and that we hear this music for what it was intended to be: a prayer for the earth, a salute to art and the power of the music, and a call for us all to coexist peacefully.” – Julie Bickford (Artistic Director, Vocalis Youth Choir)
